Roofing at the Melrose Restaurant
Melrose Restaurant: Oak Creek, WI Size: 9100 sq ft Type: Firestone , Versico, Metro Stone Coated Steel Tile | ![]() |
| Contractor : Owner - Melrose Eatery | |
| Scope of Work: Design Build Project to Install Metro Metal Stone Coated Tiles on entry roof, custom copper fineal, 16 oz copper patina cornice, Fully Adhered Firestone .045 mil EPDM & Adhered Versico 60 mil TPO. | |
Challenge: The drawings were conceptual and vague making the project truly "Design Build" in nature. SRS Roofing & Sheet Metal recommended and installed Decra Stone Coated Steel Tile for the entry roofing system and designed and fabricated the intricate Aluminum Framed, Custom Copper Cornice around the perimeter to both hide the lighting system and function as a Snow Guard and Gutter System to protect patrons entering and exiting the restaurant. Not only were these products going to be highly visible, but they would be the focal point of the building, so appearance was just as critical as functionality. In the areas where oils and animal fats would be present on the Low Slope Roofing System, near cooking exhaust vents and HVAC units, SRS Roofing and Sheet Metal recommended and installed a TPO membrane to resist the harmful effects of those substances. In areas that would not be affected by those substances SRS Roofing and Sheet Metal installed an EPDM ballasted roofing system to help keep project costs as low as possible.
