Michael Hurst-President-Co Owner
Michael brings over 20 years experience in the construction industry to the company. Michael’s experience began with his father’s construction company in 1986. In 1991 he married his wife Wendy and took a new position as Shift Manager at a metal welding and fabrication company located in Honey Creek Wisconsin. In 1996, shortly before his first daughter was born, he accepted a position as an Architectural Sheet Metal Mechanic and Crew Foreman. His hobby and interest in computers lead him to accept the Information Technology position in January 2000. In June of 2001 his duties were expanded to include rolls involving IT, finance and operations for the new national company owner based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. With these new responsibilities Michael traveled the country installing and training people in the use of construction job cost/accounting software as well as developing business process improvements and controls. After the resignation of the local roofing company’s founder in May 2004, Michael was named President of the local roofing company. These responsibilities provided Michael with a wide range of experience and produced many connections in the roofing and construction industry. Michael is in his 17th year of a happy marriage with his wife Wendy. They share the responsibilities of raising their two children, 10 year old Hannah and 6 year old Megan.
Michael Heinzen-Vice President of Operations-Co Owner
Michael has almost 30 years of experience in the roofing industry. Michael has vast experience dealing with manufactures and suppliers of roofing materials. He brings established relationships with vendors, manufactures and other roofing contractors.
Tom Bechtel-Roofing Operations Manager/Estimator-Co Owner
After graduating from Wauwatosa West High School, Tom was hired by an established roofing company in Waukesha, WI. A year later, in 1975, Tom was part of the group that formed a new roofing and sheet metal company in West Allis, WI. Tom filled the role of Foreman and installed roofing systems in many different states. In 1985 Tom was named superintendent of roofing operation for that company and later took on the responsibilities of estimating as well as the duties of General Manager. Tom has been a huge asset to SRS Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc. and as a co-owner he is excited about the continuation and growth of his many relationships with customers, vendors, and employees. Tom and his wife of 30 years Cloie have raised their two children, daughter Crystal and son Brad who is following in his fathers's footsteps as a roofer with SRS Roofing & Sheet Metal.
Todd Hoffmann-Chief Safety Officer/Human Resources-Co Owner
Todd has more than 20 years in the construction/safety industry. He is an authorized OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer, Todd was an Accredited Instructor for the DHFS teaching asbestos and Lead (pb) Paint certification courses at Good Armstrong & Associates in Milwaukee, WI. Todd has extensive Human Resource Management, Fleet Safety Management and Business Planning experience. He is raising his son Alex with his wife Sandra. Todd has been heavily involved in youth sports programs as a coach, referee and umpire. He is an integral part of the company, performing the roles of Risk Manager, Safety Officer, and Human Resource Manager.
Pam Topping-Controller-Co Owner
Pam has more than 20 years experience in the financial industry. She has managed a small branch of Hopkins Savings and Loan in 1982-1984 as well as having hands on working knowledge of all aspects of construction accounting including payroll, 401K management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and union benefits administration. Pam gained much of her construction accounting experience while working for a small builder located in Greendale who specialized in new investment properties, mostly in the Waterford area. After leaving there, Pam joined Specialty Associates Inc. in August 1999. Pam has been married since 1987 to her husband Tom who has 19 years working in different facets of the residential and commercial roofing trade.
Brad Decker-Sheet Metal Manager/Estimator-Co Owner
Brad has more than 20 years of experience in the roofing/construction industry with 18 years as a sheet metal foreman and the last 4 years as a superintendent/estimator. Brad was the head of the sheet metal division at Specialty Associates Inc. He is working on a degree in architectural engineering. Brad has a 7 year old daughter Cameron, and lives in Burlington, WI.
Tobin Forsythe-Roofing Sales & Service-Co Owner
Tobin has more than 30 years experience in the roofing/construction industry with 27 of those years at Specialty Associates Inc. Tobin was the head of the service department at SAI for a number of years before taking over the commercial rood division. Tobin is very knowledgeable about every type of roofing system in use today and is known throughout the industry for his vast experience with membrane roofing systems. Tobin and his wife Cindy have spent the last 25 years raising their three children at their home on the south side of Milwaukee. All of these things add up to make Tobin a great asset to SRS Roofing & Sheet Metal.
Gary Boley-Roofing Sales & Service
Gary has more than 10 years experience in the roofing/construction industry with 6 of those years as a service technician at Specialty Associates Inc. and the last 4 years as a superintendent/estimator for the service department at SAI. Gary was instrumental in the development of the roof inspection and preventative maintenance programs at SAI and has completed roof evaluations and repair estimates on millions of square feet of roofing. He is well respected in the industry and has key relationships with many large property owners and management companies. Gary lives in Oconomowoc, WI and is very active in local sporting events and community events
Michael Schmidt-Roofing Foreman-Co Owner
Michael has more than 30 years of experience in the application of commercial roofing membranes. Michael was responsible for the profitable operation of countless jobs over his career as a roofer and roofing foreman at SAI. He has installed millions of square feet of EPDM, PVC, and bituminous roofing membrane and is very well respected in the industry. His talents extend far beyond basic roofing and he truly enjoys challenging situations that may involve carpentry, masonry, or sheet metal fabrication. He is a true problem solver and enjoys tackling the challenges involved with roofing projects. Michael is a great resource for SRS Roofing and Sheet Metal, and even more so for our customers.
Jerry Maddox-Roofing Foreman-Co Owner
Jerry has been working as a roofer and roofing foreman for over 25 years. Jerry is known for working his men hard and pushing the limits of production while continuing to exceed the tight quality standards that are set by the roofing system manufacturers. Jerry is a no nonsense, get it done, type of individual and an excellent motivator of his crew. He has installed millions of square feet of roofing membrane from all of the major manufacturers and has done so in almost every state of the country.
Michael Wishau-Sheet Metal Foreman-Co Owner
Michael has been working as an architectural sheet metal mechanic for 24 years. He has run many high profile projects in Wisconsin and Illinois over his career including the W.W. Grainger World Headquarter's, Great Lakes Naval Station Bachelors Quarters, Chicago Premium Outlet mall and the Calatrava addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum. He is well known for his work ethic, dedication to customer satisfaction and quality installations. He has numerous manufacture training certificates. Mr. Wishau is highly sought after in the industry and SRS Roofing & Sheet Metal is fortunate to have him.
Mark Beaudoin-Sheet Metal Foreman-Co Owner
Mark began his career as a commercial roofer for Laufenberg Roofing before joining SAI and switching careers to become an architectural sheet metal mechanic for the past 17 years. Mark is a highly motivated individual with a get it done attitude. Like his co-workers, Mark is committed to maintaining his certifications and has used his expertise and training on many high profiles such as the Wisconsin State Fair Park Expo Center, the Calatrava addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee Public Museum’s IMAX Theater, Oak Park Library and residences belonging to the S.C. Johnson Family.
Michael Smith-Sheet Metal Shop Foreman-Co Owner
Michael began his career in residential sheet metal and roofing with Specialty Associates, Inc. before switching careers to become an architectural sheet metal mechanic for the past 8 years. Mike, or “Skippy” as he is known by his co-workers, has won multiple awards from the National Union Apprenticeship Program for skill and talent with sheet metal fabrication. Mike was the shop foreman at SAI and continues that role with SRS Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc. Mike and his wife Ryan have two children, Thatcher born Feb. 17th 2006, and Grayden born Sept. 20th 2007. They live in Waterford, WI.
John Stroninski-Sheet Metal Foreman-Co Owner
John started his sheet metal apprenticeship in 1999 at SAI, and now has 9 years experience in the sheet metal industry. John has had the benefit of working with and being trained by some of the top professionals in the architectural sheet metal trade and has put that experience and training to work for us here at SRS Roofing & Sheet Metal.
